As a whole, UPB promotes the Relational Leadership Model. The Relational Leadership Model is the process of people working together as they attempt to accomplish change or make a difference to benefit a common good. As an organization, UPB is dedicated to creating a community among Ball State students. The Relational Leadership Model has five components: inclusion, empowerment, purpose, ethics, and process-orientation. UPB demonstrates all of these throughout the meetings and events.
The principle of inclusion is demonstrated by their openness and acceptance of all Ball State students and their guests. All students are welcome to attend meetings to share their ideas, make decisions, and volunteer to implement events.
