On the upcoming Thursday, Romeo is told that Juliet is dead and to come visit and pay his respects. It turns out Juliet is not dead but asleep, since Romeo thinks Juliet is dead, he drinks a poison and ends his life to be with Juliet in the afterlife. Then, Juliet wakes up from her two-day sleeping potion and learns that Romeo has died because he thought that she (Juliet) was dead. Now that she was aware that Romeo had died to be with her, she decides she wants to be with the love of her life, Romeo, so she stabs herself with Romeo’s dagger. (V, iii) At the time of this event, Romeo and Juliet had only been together for five days. This shows that they are infatuated and made decisions based on their first impressions and their feelings in the past few days. Sometimes relationships can be very exciting and enjoyable at the beginning but then weaken over time.
