Reliance Industries Ltd
Reliance Industries Ltd. is the second-largest publicly traded company in India by market capitalisation and revenue. It is a flagship company of Reliance Group, which is an Indian multinational holding company. It was founded in 1966 and headquartered at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Company's petrochemicals, refining, and oil and gas-related operations contributes the core of its business; other operations includes cloth, retail business, telecommunications and special economic zone (SEZ) development. In the FY2013, the company had 123 subsidiary companies and 10 associate companies. In 2014, the company has earned revenue US$ 75 billion. It is a Fortune Global 500 company for three decades and is the largest private sector company in India.
The group’s subsidiary - Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd and Indus Towers signed Master Services Agreement (MSA) for infrastructure sharing. Through this deal the company can utilize infrastructure to launch its services. Also it signed a deal with and GTL Infrastructure Limited to commence 4G services. Independent Media Trust, the benefactor of the group has acquired Network 18 Media and Investments Limited (NW18) with its subsidiary TV18. The group and Shandong Ruyi Science and Technology Group Co. Ltd, China have joint ventured in textiles. The group owns majority of 51% in this new incorporation. The group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX). The company will assess for potential upstream oil and gas business opportunities in Mexico.
