Our motion for today is ‘This house believes that it is better for women to be homemakers than to pursue a career". We as the government strongly support this motion and have given you solid reasons to support our stand. If you decide to have children, you should understand that they come before a career, why would you be stunned over someone raising her children property? Has the world become so jaded that we expect the children to raise themselves?
Our second point is there is gender discrimination in the workplace. According to a research made by Collegetimes, only 40% of employers provide at least some replacement pay during periods of maternity leave. Despite the fact that the arrival of a child means extra bills and expenses, many employers don’t provide women with any benefits if they to leave work temporarily to have a child.
