Do you know that you have an Achilles tendon in your body? Named after the Greek hero Achilles, it is considered as the strongest tendon of the human body. The purpose of this tendon is to connect the muscles and calf of the lower leg to the heel of your foot. It is also held responsible for facilitating all movements such as walking and running. The Achilles tendon gives your body a much needed amount of mobility, and any injuries afflicting it should be taken immediately to a physician to prevent further damage.
