Reset Day Research Paper
ick one day every other week (or at least once a month) and schedule it into your calendar as a personal ‘Reset Day.’ The purpose of a ‘reset day’ is to give you a mini, one-day vacation. By taking an entire day off, you help support the release of toxic energy and stress in your body while also giving your body time to rest. A ‘reset day’ just as any wellness ritual you integrate into your life, will help cleanse your mind and body, and encourage permanent weight loss.

You can use this day to focus on any of the self-care rituals that we have previously discussed, or perhaps use this day to attend a wellness workshop. You can also dedicate this extra time to things that you wouldn’t normally have time to do such as shopping for specific superfoods,

The Rule Day Club began in 1932 during the final year of prohibition, and the beginning years of the great depression. This club acquired its name because it met on the second Monday of every month, which at the time was colloquially known as “Rule Day” or the day “the law made certain writs returnable after service to the civil common law courts in Baltimore.” Unlike the Lawyers’ Round Table—which respected the legal restraints imposed by prohibition—the members of the Rule Day Club “freely imbibed” on the grounds that liquor was an “institutionalized ritual.” Indeed, the Rule Day Club was founded at Congressman John Philip Hill’s rowhome at 3 West Franklin Street, which the congressman had conveniently renamed “Franklin Farms” in order to…

    3-Day Diet Analysis

    • 4 Pages

My current diet is a complete disaster. Because of my work schedule, I don’t get up until around 11:00am, so when I do wake I have a cup or two of orange juice which is what I consider to be my breakfast. On the way to work, I grab a hamburger and soft drink. Also, I sometimes skip the soft drink and get a Monster energy drink if I am still tired from the night before. I have to put Devion on the bus in the morning which leaves me very sleepy most days, so I use this as an excuse to grab the energy drinks to make it through each day. My day at work is really boring, so, my co-worker and I sit and eat to actually entertain ourselves throughout the day. One of my major obstacles will be to ignore her when she offers me some foods or snacks because she really likes to eat several different snacks throughout the day. She really gets offended if someone turns down her offer for a snack, but, I would really like to lose some of this weight.…

Going back to a time period when the fear of this very event occurring can help to put it all in perspective. Y2K was very real for millions of Americans who feared technology would be distorted or shut-down because of a numerical change in years. People stocked up on supplies with a long shelf life; many took their money from their checking or savings accounts. The panic was real, and this current situation is easily relatable. Although the big banking bailout of Greece was a result of economic failure rather than electric failure, the idea and the fear are still relevant. The Cyprus banking system failure caused people who invested their money in the bank to lose it all. It ultimately “reinforced the importance of a proper…

A fixed mindset is when people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success—without effort. They're wrong. People in a fixed mindset believe you either are or aren’t good at something, based on your inherent nature, because it’s just who you are. The fixed mindset is the most common and the most harmful. The fixed mindset believes trouble is devastating. You want to hide your flaws so you’re not judged or labeled a failure. You stick with what you know to keep up your confidence you look inside yourself to find your true passion and purpose, as if this is a hidden inherent thing. Failures define you. You believe if you’re romantically compatible with someone, you should share all of each other’s views, and everything should just come naturally. It’s all about the outcome. If you fail, you think all effort was wasted. In the book “Mindset” “a fixed ability that needs to be proven, and a changeable ability that can be developed through learning (Dweck 15).”…

Would you classify yourself as a “Monday-Hater”? A vast majority of students immensely detest Monday because it signifies the end of a relaxing weekend and the beginning of another stressful, busy week. However, if a four day school week was implemented then Monday could be tagged on to the weekend and everyone would become “Tuesday-Haters”. Woodbury High School (WHS) would benefit from a switch to a four day school week because it would save District 833 money, increase student attendance, and decrease the amount of stress in students.…

Daylight saving time was seemingly first suggested by Benjamin Franklin. His whole concept that we lose an hour in the spring and gain an hour in the fall, was later used by United States and many other countries around the world. The primary purpose that of daylight saving time was to save energy, however it has other unpredicted benefits such as a decline in crime, reduction in pedestrian involved car accidents, and is implemented in bus scheduling.…

The last thing that should be mentioned, and of course the most welcome, is watching movies, visiting museums, galleries, theatres or cinemas, playing games or just chatting with your friends. Almost all people do this if they want to have fun and just relax in the circle of friends or relatives. Such a rest really distracts us from every day routine and renews our strength. We can forget about the problems or receive a good piece of advice.…
