Background of the Study

A.) Industry Profile and Analysis:

Reyes Haircutters is concerned with cosmetic treatments for its customers. Reyes Haircutters is a Beauty Salon with its headquarters located in the Philippines. The beauty salon encourages franchise of its establishment--franchising was the reason the establishment reached more than 200 branches in roughly 8 years. Though usually, a beauty salon offers some company-made or are a retailed product.

Beauty Salons, sometimes called Beauty Parlors, are establishments that deal with cosmetic treatments for both men and women. Reyes Haircutters is considered a Beauty Salon as it has various services such as hairdressing, manicuring, facial treatment, and massages. The beauty salon industry in the country has been competitive nowadays, from high-end salon service to the usual local salon by the street.

B.) Corporate Profile and Analysis:

Company Background:

Reyes Haircutters was founded by Celestino “Les” E. Reyes--he was the first to introduce the concept of “Filipino Family Salon” through his Christian Reyes Salons. The first Salon was built in 2001. After a few years, Reyes Haircutters started to open its business for franchise--Reyes Haircutters grew to more than 200 branches nationwide in less than 8 years with one branch in U.K., London and branches soon to open in Doha, Qatar, and the United States of America.

The 1st CEO, Celestino “Les” E. Reyes, is still the current CEO of Reyes Haircutters. He opened the salon with hopes of providing quality services at an affordable price to the whole family.
