Sense of humor is essential…………..

Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is. Enjoy the things that make you laugh or smile. That's the best way to develop a great sense of humor. A sense of humor is, simply put, the ability to be amused. Most people have one, and are able to laugh at jokes, humorous situations, and a variety of other potential sources of amusement. In humans, it develops at a very early age, and is often considered to be a vital part of human development. The sense of humor appears to be an important part of human survival. The ability to laugh can dispel tension, for example, while an understanding of complex situations can help people to make good decisions. People with a well-developed sense of humor appear to be happier in psychological studies, and some are healthier as well, suggesting that it may just be good for you. A number of factors influence someone's sense of humor. Age is a big issue. As people age and what they find funny develops and matures, they are also influenced by their educational level, the surrounding culture, and their religious faith. Many people believe that what a person finds is something which develops on its own, and that you cannot teach someone to understand why jokes, comments, situations, and events are funny. However, there are certainly things one can do to enhance it. Children, for example, benefit from play and demonstrations of humor, along with encouragements to laugh. While some children's jokes might seem rather inane to adults, encouraging children to tell jokes and to think about what makes things funny, can help them develop a sense of humor.

The most important goal for my future is to obtain a satisfying career. Growing up I saw how unhappy my mother was working at a job that she hated just to make enough to provide for our family. I further understood how important a satisfying career was to me when I started working the graveyard shift as a dockworker during community college. I strongly disliked almost everything about the job including the exposure to extreme temperatures, the job’s filthy nature, the long and irregular hours, and most of all because it was unfulfilling. I was miserable with my occupation but I was dependent on it because it was lucrative and provided me with a way to support myself through college. I worked fulltime at this job for two years while also being a fulltime student until I transferred to SIU. The dread that I felt toward my job made me work harder academically because I knew that someday my hard work would amount to a career that I thoroughly…
