The Capulet family is dysfunctional because they have a hard time understanding each other. The misunderstanding in the Capulet family is shown when lady Capulet says
“Marry, my child, early next Thursday morning, the gallant, young, and noble gentlemen, the county Paris”. Lady Capulet says this in act III scene V on line 110. This takes place in Juliet’s room when her mother comes in to tell her to marry Paris. Juliet is with the nurse and her mother. Juliet’s parents are angry with her when she refuses to marry Paris. Her parents want Juliet to be obedient and do as they say. If Juliet’s parents were more understanding Juliet would have told them about her marriage with Romeo.
