The main reason to blame for their double suicide, is the Capulets and Montagues feud. “From ancient grudge break to mutiny./ Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean./ From for the fatal loins of the two foes/ A pair of star-crossed lovers takes their life;/”(1.P.3-6). But if there was a change in the events and characters, their deaths could have been avoided easily. If it were not for the families feud, then the two could have been together without having to rebel and undermine authority. Without Capulets forceful nature and pressure on Juliet, she would have never felt the need to do anything that she did. If Romeo had not been so quick to act on his heart and not his mind, then the lover’s suicide would not have happened, and they would have lived happily ever after.
