Romeo is at fault for his and Juliet's deaths. First, Romeo was with Tybalt right after Mercutio's death and said “this fight will decide that” (3.1.129). Romeo did not consider that if he fought Tybalt, that one of them would die and cause a lot of problems for Juliet and him. Then, Romeo buys the poison from the pharmacist. Romeo did not think of the consequences that came when buying the poison and that the pharmacist could also get in trouble. Lastly, Romeo decides to drink the poison. Juliet is at fault for the deaths of Romeo and hers.
First, Juliet decided that she agreed that she would marry Romeo. Juliet knew that marrying Romeo would cause a lot of trouble. Then, Juliet took the potion that Friar gave her. Juliet knew that it was very risky to drink the potion and that she could have died. Lastly, Juliet said “ Oh the rascal drank it all and didn’t leave one good drop for me”. (5,3,165-169). Juliet knew that her decision was very rational, nevertheless she still decided that if Romeo was not alive she should die.
Nurse is at fault for Romeo and Juliet's deaths. First, Nurse decided that she would help Romeo and Juliet even though she knew that there would be a lot disagreements and problems. Then, Nurse did not tell the Capulets that Juliet had married Romeo. Nurse knew that Juliet was going to have to end up marrying Paris and since she did not tell the capulets it did happen making Juliet upset and killing herself. Lastly Nurse said “I think you should marry Paris”. Nurse knew that Juliet was already upset and that saying this would just devastate her.
Love can be painful and end in death but their will always be someone guilty such as Romeo, Juliet, and Nurse in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Romeo is at fault for not thinking of his consequences, Juliet is at fault for being reckless and Nurse is at fault for not being
responsible.
