Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Analysis
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, is a children’s Christmas song with a theme of hope and greatness for everyone that is unique. There are various poetic devices used throughout the song that lead to that message.

There are two examples of personification in places in the song. Both examples have to do with reindeer. In the first example the reindeer are described as poking fun of Rudolph because of his unique red nose, just like little children. The line read “All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names”. In the second example, the reindeer actually speak. The sleigh team now needs Rudolph and accept him after Santa Claus sees his value. They tell Rudolph that “Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in history!”

For the live theatre show, I decided to watch “A Christmas Story, The Musical” directed by Valerie Easton at Vancouver Arts Club Stanley Industrial Aalliance Stage. The show focuses on a child named Ralphie, who wants a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas.Valerie’s production captured the happiness and cheerful atmosphere during Christmas and also focus on emphasizing Ralphie’s desire of a BB Gun as his Christmas present. During the show, I was impressed by many design and technical production elements. For example, the quick changes, the adequate use of theatre stage and also the use of sets to change from fantasy and reality. However, the most striking elements to me are the set piece of Ralphie’s house and the sufficient use of rigging system.…

For my Rhetoric-In-Practice (RIP), I decided to write fracture fairy tales on "Hansel and Gretel", "The Little Red Riding Hood" and "The Ugly Duckling". I take upon the role of Rory Madden, an experienced children's author promoting his newest book The Modernize Collection of Fairy Tales on his website. In my book, each fairy tale is revamped to target a modern audience and to address a specific issue with children and modern technology. My collection of fairy tales targets two audiences, my primary audience is third and fourth graders; meanwhile, my secondary audience is parents.…

A Christmas Carol, in both forms of a movie and a drama, were both well written and directed. If someone asked a stranger on the street to name their all-time favorite Christmas movie, there are many that would come to mind. The list would possibly include “Frosty the Snowman”, “The Grinch”, “Rudolph”, and more than likely “White Christmas”. Although it is actually considered a musical because of the songs and dance that help to bring this all together. It is based on the ever popular song by Irving Berlin that was released in 1941, only a few week after the Pearl Harbor attacks. Originally sung in the film “Holiday Inn”, it still remains today as one of the bestselling recorded songs ever. Berlin wrote many songs that were hits, but this one is the only one that still seems near and dear to the hearts of many Americans. Not a…

I decided to rewrite the story of “Little Red Riding Hood” because it seemed very fitting in relation to my topic of rape. In the story, Little Red is tricked by a wolf into taking off her red hood that protects her from wolves. She is then attacked by the wolf, and afterwards she runs to the village begging for help. Unfortunately no one will help her; they give the responses countless give to victims of sexual assault, and so Little Red cries. Then a hunter decides to help her and teaches her how to defend herself, they kill the wolf and Little Red is never a victim again. However, unlike this story, most rape victims never receive a happy ending, and never receive justice.…

Santa Claus depicts several archetypes. He represents the wise old man archetype. He always knows what every child in the world wants for Christmas and always knows if they have been good or not. He gives many children gifts and all he asks for in return is a cookie and a glass of milk. These archetypes are in many Christmas movies. In “A Christmas Carol”, Scrooge is a mean old man who, for the most part, hates everyone. All he cares about is money. He never gives anyone anything. When the spirits visit him in his dreams, he starts caring about people other than himself. At the end of the movie, Scrooge becomes a better man. He starts giving money to the poor and giving…

Movies have been a big hit for many years. Billions of dollars have been spent by people just to watch these fascinating moving pictures. “Toy Story” , which came out in 1995, is an excellent example of one of these movies that appeared in theaters. It is an animated representation of what toys do when no one is in the room watching them. Woody, the cowboy, is Andy’s favorite toy and the leader of all the other toys. On Andy’s sixth birthday his parents got him a Buzz Lightyear doll. The addition of a new toy both thrilled and scared the toys, but with Buzz stuck in factory mode trying to return to his home planet problems started to present themselves to the toys. As the family packs to move the evil neighbor boy Sid gets ahold…
