Just saying at the time gave me goose bumps. My family and I celebrated with much and love a grace, Thanked the lord for he had done for because two weeks later we would be on our way to the greatest country in the world.
Jumping ahead. The year was 2012, I was attending Edmunds Middle School in Burlington, Vermont. In class we began reading a book called Long Walk To Water about, about the lost boys of sudan we had to flee the country they lived in because of war and had to spend most of their lives in a refugee camp that had very limited access to water.
This book made a lot of sense to me I had gone through the same events as one of the characters in the story, before the teacher could go on with the book I raised my hand I and told all about my adventures and struggles as a kid and how i could relate to the characters in the book. Soon after I was presenting to parents and faculty and fellow classmates. I participated in a conference call of classes in Hartford, VT and Tennessee who had also read the novel.
