Most of the accident occurs either due to hostile environment or due to unsafe action. By systematic approach, the environment can be made conducive. But the circle of safety will not be complete unless the behaviour of the participants are controlled or moulded. So, the behaviour of an individual and that of the team plays a very important role in safety. People have to be trained to use all machinery which is needed at work so that it is used correctly and does not pose a risk to yourself and others. Identifying and following procedures should be practised in the work place. Organizational practices that promote safety can also help a company establish competitive advantage by reducing costs of absenteeism due to accidents and complying with safety laws.
