saving water essay
Saving water is saving life
In our life, water plays an important role. It is the source of life. It is an irreplaceable element with human survival and development. Our life cannot go on without water. Humans can’t live without water more than 72 hours, fish can’t live without water more than 20 minutes, and plants can’t live without water also. On the earth, where there’s water, there’s life. Life originated from water. 65% of our weight is water, 75% of our brains are water, 83% of blood is water, 76% of muscle is water, even our bones include 22% water, and even modern factories can't operate without water. In this research I will talk about the solutions to water shortage.
What can we do to save water? Saving water is very easy and simple. I am going to share with you some of the most simplest ways to conserve water that everybody in the community can do even the smallest of them. We can turn the water off when we aren’t using it. Let’s get more into it, how about washing dishes by filling a bowl of water instead of keeping the faucet running. We can keep a pitcher of water in the fridge so we don’t have to use the sink as much. You should run the dishwasher only when you have a full load. You can also run the clothes washer only when you have a full load of clothes. We can also turn the water off when we brush our teeth or do our hair. There are many other ways to save water but I like these simple ways that everybody can do.
What can we do outside the house to conserve water? There are a lot of different ways to save water outside the house. The main thing I think is to adjust sprinklers to the right time and turn them off when they aren’t needed. Also when washing our cars we can us a sponge and bucket instead of keeping the hose running. We can also use a drip system in our garden instead of using a running hose to water our plants. We should water early in the morning which will help us use less water because the temperature is much cooler.

From 2003 to 2004, I was assigned to the Third Marines Field Service Support Group (3d FSSG) Medical Battalion in Okinawa, Japan as the company commander for the Headquarter and Support (H&S) Company. Medical battalions are staffed by Navy medical personnel, which support Marines in war zones. The H&S company structure included a company commander, executive officer, division officers and enlisted staff. A lot of people are not familiar with the military terms so I like to use the analogy that a company commander (military officer) is comparable to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, the executive officer (military officer) is comparable to Chief Operating Officer; the division officers (senior enlisted members) are comparable to department heads, and junior enlisted are the staff.…

The first thing is to check around your house to see if you have any water leaks. Your showers faucets, sinks, toilets, washing machines, and dishwashers. Fixing any type of water leak will help in conserving water. Another way to conserve water is to cut back on the time you spend in the shower or bath each night and how many showers you take a week. Even if you take a shower every other day or once a day instead of twice a day will help. If you can cut back on the amount of laundry that you wash each week and cut back on the number of times you run the dishwasher it will save on water and energy. The best time to run the dishwasher and washing machine is at night, it takes less energy to run appliances in the evening. In the summertime if you can by some fans and…

The states, countries, territories and even entire continents feel the effects and understand the need for conservation. However, the areas that do not experience the effects do not comprehend the harm their careless actions create. For example, a person who takes an hour shower every day wastes two and a half gallons per minute. The water used equals out to over three hundred and seventy-five gallons per day for the common fifteen-minute shower for many Americans. There are many ways to help conserve water even if the common opinion is that conservation is unnecessary. The Water scarcity is a global issue that needs more…

We could do this by fixing leaks or trying to prevent them before they happen. We could turn off the water faucet while we brush our teeth instead of letting it run. We could take shorter showers and minimize toilet flushing as well. People can survive on much smaller quantities of water than the average person uses. Like I mentioned before, every living thing on earth needs water to survive and if we carelessly use up our water, we won't be able to survive. So in conclusion, the water cycle benefits us greatly and we need to do as much as we can and cut back our water usage as much as we can to keep our water cycle intact and…

This is possibly because only 2.5% of the Earth’s water is freshwater, and the rest of it is saline, ocean based water. People need water to survive, but overtime the population has increased, which is making it a competition to get clean water for basic necessities. Therefore, people should change their water consumption habits because we will run out of water and there is an over-use for unnecessary things.…
