Sectionalism In America

In American History we are currently studying the concept sectionalism. Sectionalism is division within a country based on regional beliefs and interests. In the early 1800’s, sectionalism in america grew as slavery divided the Nation. Slavery was ignored, compromised, and argued about by the states until the conflict drove our country into the Civil War. Although regional differences are not as distinct these days, many issues are currently causing division among the states and people of our country. These issues lead to what our history class describes as “modern sectionalism.” One such issue is gay marriage.

I do not believe in the bible and I am allowed to marry in any church or place with open arms in the name of God. Everyone takes this argument to the bible, how many mothers kick their children out for being gay is growing everyday. 1 Timothy 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. From what I have read online and from the parents words and what they have written they are christian. They are worse than an unbeliever, worse than me, And I believe that anybody can love no matter what race, religion, how old you are you can still love. What if being gay was normal and being straight was a sin? You would be sinning everyday and you know what you would feel. Bad you would wanna kill yourself, you wouldn't wanna be yourself anymore because everyone hates you. Or you would live through it and be the happiest person on the planet and nobody could stop you. The bible was written by a bunch of guys. People can not be made from clay, someone can not be made of dust. I went to church and I sang for people, I never paid attention to the pastor because well I did not believe in the bible. He spoke about how anyone who loved the same gender as themselves would be burned in hell for all eternity. I got up right in the middle of his speech and left that room. My uncle was sent to prison for flirting with a man in a bar, My other uncle had to get a divorce with his husband and their children were taken away because people would riot outside there house and they put the kids lives at danger. What's so wrong with gay marriage anyhow? Are they touching you, bothering you, are they trying to turn you? No so leave them alone.
