My score was 45 out of 75. The assessment score indicates that I am not as good of a listener as I think I am. The area I need to focus on is learning how to be more attentive when listening. It also says that I need to focus more on a person when they are talking and allow them to finish their ideas without interruption.…
In humanistic-encouraging section I did score in the medium range 69%. This score indicates that I demonstrate concern for others and can be supportive of them. Because I generally try to encourage people in their efforts to improve, others probably see me as inspirational. I recognize the value of positive feedback and frequently use it as motivator. These statements are accurate about me.…
1. What areas did you score highest in? Do you believe these are the same areas you would have score high in elementary school? Why or why not? I scored the highest on kinaesthic, visual / spatial and intrapersonal portions.…
This essay will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of student self assessment in clinical environments and the importance of health professionals utilizing self assessment throughout their careers. Self assessment is the technique by which a student or professional rates and judges his or her own work thereby motivating him or her to work on improving any aspects of their work they feel may be lacking. It is an assessment technique employed in a diverse range of settings worldwide from the school room to the professional arena.…
After taking the self-assesment I have discovered a few thing I did not know about myself. I figured out my strengths and weaknesses and have found out I am a successful student! One of my highest scores was in 'Accepting Personal Reponsibility' another was 'Mastering Self-Management'. I am very well organized and it is very unlikely for me to not accept responsability when I am at fault. My lowest score was 'Believing In Myself' which was hard to believe since I always try to push myself past any challenge.…
I have really excellent self management. I feel I manage my time and keep things organized very well. For as long as I can remember I've kept a full planner of due dates, times I work, birthdays, and any other upcoming events. So as I'm sure you can guess, I was very pleased to see that I scored well on the self management portion of this self-assessment. Another thing I was happy to see on this self-assessment was that I did not score under a 40 in any category. To me, this shows I could use some help perfecting my study skills, self-awareness, responsibility, and motivation but generally, I am not to far off from being a successful student. One thing that came as a shock to me was that my highest score was discovering self-motivation. I feel I sometimes lack motivation to save money, do an assignment, or even wake up and come to class at 8am so to see this as my strongest area was quiet the surprise.…
By doing this self-assessment I learned about my strengths. I was aware that I accept full responsibility for my actions and results of my life. Since I was a little girl, my mother bestowed in me that, “Life is nothing but the result of the choices you make.” I know that my destiny is counting on me. I know what motivates me and what choices hinder my success. Choosing between the two is the challenge; I call that self-warfare. I believed that I scored high in: accepting personal responsibility, discovering self-motivation, and adopting lifelong learning. I feel really good about my strengths.…
I find the scores very surprising. According to "Mind Tools" (n.d.), “You're on your way to becoming an excellent manager. You're doing some things well, and these are likely the things you feel comfortable. Now it's time to work on the skills that you've been avoiding. Focus on the areas where your score is little, and figure out what you can do to make the improvements you need.” The "Mind Tools" (n.d.) website, I scored low on Problem Solving and Decision making. I got and 8 of 10, stating that I not comfortable in this area. I will take this information and work on building my Problem-solving and Decision making skills. However, I did score high motivating people. I believe people confidence and improve their job…
I give my finances an seven because I have a fulltime job ,I am very good at saving , I watch how I use my money ,and I spend it on things I need. I only give myself a treat once in a while by going shopping but I watch the prices closely. I gave my personal life a seven although I have accomplish a few things in life but not what all what I needed. I gave my career a six because I am still working on my career and have not fully accomplished what I want yet. I was harsh on myself and the same time very honest. My peer will give me a different rating; they would rate me higher than I rate myself. For time management, Relationships and personal life skills they would gave me a ten. For Self-Knowledge, Study Skills they would give me a nine. For Finances they would have given me an eight and career they would give a seven. The way I plan on approaching my materials in this course is by Reading the syllabus, reads my notes more often, take part in asking question on discussion boards, and make a studying schedule revise schedule as needed, take short breaks between…
After carefully reviewing my result of Self-Assessment Scoring Sheet by Skip Downing, I believe that it was a great opportunity to identify what is true about me. I scored higher in the areas of accepting personal responsibility and believing in yourself. Additionally, I could have identified what is true about me from the result of mine because I scored higher in the areas that I usually think as important aspects to be a part of society. To put it in more detail, I would like to explore how I feel about these scores. Even though there are some remarkable aspects that I need to pay attention to have a successful student life, I am satisfied with my higher score areas. The reason why is while accepting self responsibility can be also…
I was somewhat taken aback with the opportunities part of my results. I did not score as high as I would have liked to score in this section. I scored the lowest in presenting. I scored a 1 out of 5 and I did agree with that because presenting is not one of my strongest things to do although I know I have to work on that as much as possible. I did think that coping with pressure could have been higher but I scored a 2 out of 5 on that. On goal focus, I scored a 2 out of 5 and that made me feel horrible because I have set goals for myself and sometimes I push my goals to the back of my list to accommodate my life or help other people with their goals.…
The first part of self assessing me was pretty important because it was a sum of my whole lifestyle in one. Giving me an overall look on what I should change or if I should even change any of my habits. My smoking score was a perfect 10, which was not surprising at all to me. My alcohol/drug score for this was seven points because I do drink. The score for my eating and exercising habits were perfect because I do a good job when it comes to eating right and working out on a daily. My stress control score was an eight, but I do understand why. I do know that I stress to some extent. My last score was safety and the score for that was a nine. I think my life is pretty amazing if you ask me.…
After taking the emotional intelligence quiz, I found that my overall score was a 104. This score according to the testing sight is satisfactory, but has room for improvement. The test result was that I was adequately skilled at understanding and dealing with emotions but still needed to improve in these areas (Emotional Intelligence Test).…
I learned from my score that I am “a moderately resilient person” (Allison-Napolitano and Pesult, 2015, p.14) and “fairly confident” (Allison-Napolitano and Pesult, 2015, p.14) in my abilities. I realized that I am very comfortable in handling crisis at work and in leading and directing staff through stressful situations. I am confident in instructing staff on patient care, documentation, regulations, encouragement, dealing with difficult patients, how to improve their organizational skills, how to achieve their professional goals, and looking at things from an employee perspective. I found that I am very confident in meeting with peers and those that I report to. An area where I see an opportunity to grow is in handling personal criticism and people that are indifferent towards me. I like everyone and can usually find some glimmer of positive appreciation for them. I truly care about those around me and struggle when people are clearly rude and hurtful toward me. I am ok with others not agreeing with me or choosing another colleagues design over mind, but people that misinterpret my intensions or form a dislike for me following a ruling that I make, stays with me and hurts. I appreciated the teaching and guidance from the lecture this week, regarding not taking things personally and learning from the…
Upon completing the quiz, I found that my learning style results were quite surprising. Since I plan to have a long career as a businesswoman, I expected that my kinesthetic learning qualities would be low. Similarly, I expected my auditory learning results to be higher. This is because, as a future CPA and businesswoman, much of the information I will receive in my career is auditory and very little is kinesthetic. The other learning style results were middle of the road and expected. However, my strongest and weakest intellectual abilities, multiple intelligences, are bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and musical intelligence, which do match my learning style. Therefore, I could not be too surprised by the results. In terms of the other learning style results, they were middle of the road and thus not too remarkable or unexpected.…
