They have always influenced me in what I should be doing and what is right and wrong. One example of where my internal locus-of-control is demonstrated would be me going to college and doing something with my life. By being in college, I have to study a bunch and having the endurance to study every night is making my own fate. If I did not study and just winged everything that would be me using luck and fate. Being a high self-monitor has helped out some, but I have not noticed it until these last few years. It helps me gage awkward situations and decide how to engage myself into certain conversations. Overall, it has become a very useful tool. My belief in a just world has been influenced by things that have happened around me. Since I was very young, there would always be a punishment for bad behavior and reward for good. So, to me, the world is just because you get what you deserve. If you kill a man then you should be punished for it, but if you help the poor and give them food and shelter, then you should get a reward. Everything around us will influence how we are as we grow older. For me, the primary socialization has been helping others. Growing up always wanting to help others has shaped me as a person. It is what helped me decide what type of job I wanted to pursue. It definitely helped shape what my adult socialization would be like. Each and every piece of my primary socialization has influenced all parts of my adult socialization. It was not only my experiences that helped shape who I am, but the people in my life as well. My babysitters, grandparents, teachers, and friends have all influenced my socialization over the years and definitely the outcomes of the
