Article – “Academic Delay of Gratification, Motivation, and Self-regulated Learning Strategies”* The article “Academic Delay of Gratification, Motivation, and Self-Regulated Learning Strategies” is about the delay between short and long term rewards. The article talks about one’s choice of giving up immediate small rewards for a larger long term reward, delaying gratification. Studies find that academic gratification compared to alternatives were more relevant to an individual, allowing them to focus more on the academic task at hand. Being able to manage yourself and impulses help regulate your time and priorities.

I have a purpose for my goals and I will do what is necessary even when I don’t believe in myself at times.
