Self-Selected System: Stop And Go Strategy
The Self Selected System was chosen for managing children in the learning environment and this system affords children the opportunity to move freely through the centres. The two artefacts I have designed derived from the strategies of the self selected system which is the pocket planner and the stop and go strategy. The pocket planner is a chart with the listing of the centres and the expected number of children per centre. The children are allowed to make choices and select the centres. Note that when the number of names corresponded to the number on the chart the centre is full.
Additionally, the stop and go strategy is designed using red and green bristol board paper and stocked together back to back. Afterwards, a whole is punched in

Boredom is often a key factor in unwanted behaviour. Children and young people will often find things to do that may not always be desirable to entertain themselves if nothing is in place to keep them busy or the activities that are in place are too easy or of no interest to the child. Planning experiences are linked to understanding children’s development and also to make it interesting and fun for them to give them a positive, confident outlook, which produces positive behaviour.…

Students in early years rely on the direction of teachers in regards to their safety, curriculum learning, classroom rules and behaviour. At a grade 5 level, a teacher ideally would take on a coach/mentor role enabling students to become increasingly independent and responsible for their learning. During the short transitional phase from early childhood to adolescence, young people are establishing themselves as increasingly autonomous. (Erikson, 2012; Smith &Bentley, 2010). However with the range of cognitive and behavioural levels as well as students with additional needs, a Classroom Management Plan (CMP) needs to support all students and not just the general level.…

It is my belief that Self-Organising Learning Environment method (SOLE) can keep youngsters stimulated in class, improve both their knowledge and exam results. Under this technique children are asked a question and left to do research online in small groups. The kids are engaged without realizing they are actually doing school work. Their results are impressive for a number of reasons. Firstly, they feel more relaxed looking for information and answering questions in small groups. Besides, they know they won’t be made to look foolish if they get something wrong. Secondly, through reasoning, discussion and cooperation they can discover new ways to ind information and to understand far more of what they have found than they would individually. The last but not the least reason is that SOLE improves children’s attention span and behaviour, too. So, I really believe that, if this method is adopted across the UK, all…

Nowadays, majority of establishments and institutions across the country are now using modern technologies for theme to be able to serve their clients fast and efficient. One of the most significant institutions is the educational sector. As reported by the World Bank, there had been an increase in literacy rate in the Philippines. With the increase in our country’s literacy rate has come a significant increase in student enrollment at the high school level. This has made it difficult for existing staff within the schools to manage the magnitude of daily administrative activities such as student enrollment. Manually managing the enrolment system is tedious, time consuming, and error prone. Schools in the Philippines are switching over from the conventional method of enrolment to the Information and communication technology-based automated enrollment for efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. A speedy and computerized enrolment system process is the way the school can find an easier and enhanced way to implement an enrolment system. The computerization of the said system will be implemented through making use of equipments like computers and printers. In line with this, it is better for a school to have a computerized enrollment system as a replacement for the traditional manual system to have an efficient and faster enrolment operation and to use as an advantage over their counter.…
