Senior Parking Spaces In High School
The painting of senior parking spaces has been a tradition for seniors for numerous years1. This occurs on a selected date before the upcoming school year begins, and all the seniors-that have decided to pay the fee-arrive at school and paint their parking space, within a series of parameters. As a scholar who has been attending Uplift Summit International Preparatory for several years, I have been both pleased and let down by some of events and traditions of Summit. I have appreciated the bonds that I have been able to create with my teachers and fellow peers, at Summit we are a family. However, I do believe some of the lack of traditions causes a disinterest in schools events and, ultimately, lack of school spirit. A sense of school spirit is an incredibly detrimental aspect of high school and creating that long-lasting content and bond with high …show more content…
Based on what the options are, I think it would be beneficial for the scholars to do this as well. That way the school would not need to extend finances on painters, and it would allow the seniors to work together towards a similar goal; consequently, causing more memories and bond between the senior class. I only expense that would need to be made would be the purchasing on white paint, since the paint used to paint the parking spaces must be purchased by the scholars. We do not wish to arrive to a decision over-night, I do understand there are a series of changes and responsibilities that come before fun events; however, I do believe this event will allow the seniors and other scholars an extra opportunity for school spirit. Ultimately the decision is not up to me, but if I may persuade your opinions. The senior parking spaces, has been something that numerous children have hoped to do their final year of high school and I believe it will allow the scholars to continue their attachment for Summit long after they have

Being a member of Best Buddies and SAVE, I demonstrate a strong sense of dedication for supporting others and lending a helping hand. The goals of both Best Buddies and SAVE are to further acceptance, embrace diversity, promote safety in schools, and spreading positive energy. As a student representative, my sole objective would be to help enlighten the school board and those in the community about the daily life at MHS, advocate for the 1,600 students currently attending, and respectively relay any helpful amendments that would benefit the Mukwonago Area School District. The multiple clubs I participate in and the copious amounts of friendships I developed with people that have contrasting passions also allow me to speak on behalf of a relatively large group of students. The students taking part in the same activities that I belong to range from freshman to seniors. The opinions of a freshman compared to that of a senior’s may vary drastically, and being a part of clubs with a sample of each year will give me an advantage to hear an assortment of…

I’m Antonio Jones, just another student at the high school. I personally think that giving money to charity is a great idea. It’s a good way to spend and also share your money with people who don’t have much or none. Just for the simple fact that there are people all over the world that are starving. It would be okay if the school’s treasury could give 250$ to each or give 500$ to both, but they can’t.…

The event was successful, however I feel the Society can increase student patiicipation significantly. I believe tangible prize in conjunction with the gold, silver, and platinum status awards will increase student pmiicipation. For example students reaching platinum status receives at-shirt; students reaching gold status receives a key chain; and students reaching silver status receives a logo pen or pencil. The Society can use sponsorship funds to purchase the prizes. I believe the prize expense is insignificant compared to the additional student participation resulting in our ultimate goal to increase donations to support our funy friends in our…

The majority of property owners in the United States understand the importance of the regulations stated in the Americans With Disability Act of 1990, also known as the ADA. After all, these rules are about providing safe, identifiable and fair entrance and exit into and out of buildings, rooms or areas within said structures and even the parking lots for those who suffer from various types of disabilities. At present, not all property owners take steps to comply with these regulations, and this fact is quite evident here in California. Citizens in this state have the right to file a lawsuit against the public establishments when they do not offer the correct ADA signs or California Handicap Parking signs.…

A few years ago, I was just a freshman, who was intrigued by every aspect of my school. I was surprised to see that there is a hang out place called Senior hills, and that’s where most of the seniors hang out. There was also a specific room where most musically gifted kids hang out called the Band room. And lastly there is A quad, where kids love the color black, and could spend all day reading manga. As I wonder where I belong to in this huge melting pot, I met a group of older girls in my geometry class, Jordyn, Hannah, and Ally. Jordyn insisted that I should hang out with them, since I’m new and need guidance. They showed me to my classes, and taught me about spirit weeks and rally days. They said we should use spirit days to show school unity and look cuter than usual. One day, during lunch, when we were all dressed up as hippies in our trendy bohemian clothes chit chatting about what to wear for tomorrow spirit…

trip, we visited many museums tin order to get a better feel of our country and our history. What better way is there to learn about how to make the future of our country a better place, than to visit the heart and soul of a country. Visiting Washington D.C. will give me the chance to learn what our founding fathers went through and did to make America the place it is today. I can use this trip to learn from their mistakes and replicate their successes. Visiting Washington D.C., would give me the ability to learn from the past to make our future better. As a student how went on the Washington D.C. trip last year; I know I could be a great asset to my peers who will be chosen to go on the trip with me. The teachers put too much work and effort into each school year. The D.C. trip should be a relaxing, educational break for both chaperones and the students. If there are no students who have been on the D.C. trip before, the entire trip could result in utter chaos, making this the last trip the Mars Area Middle School takes. 8th graders who once again apply to be chosen for the trip know the rules and procedures. I can help the seventh graders and my fellow 8th graders how may be confused with the process, what to bring or what it’s like from a student…

We Day is an annual "youth empowerment" event organized by the Free the Children charity. Held in cities across Canada and the United States, We Day motivates youth to take action on local and global issues. Since 2007, thousands of Canadian students have attended We Day events, which feature speeches and performance from global leaders, social activists and public figures.I think that my attendance at WE Day 2014 will have a positive impact on our school this year because I believe that if I go, I will be able to take information and bring it back to the school and try to make a change, locally and even globally. I believe that this is a huge opportunity. This conference is very beneficial because it is a student-lead conference. It allowed us, students to use our voice and speak up. At the video we watched, I realized how important it is to use your voice in a positive way to help people. You don’t only need to use your voice; you can get your message out in any way, media, arts or verbally. I learned that student voice is important because, we are the ones who are the future to making our world a better place.…

Tab: St.Charles high school may seem very one-dimensional from the outside, like many high schools, and this can oftentimes be magnified to suffocate our depth and benevolence. During my freshman year of high school, I didn’t even know what the Student Government was. I had no idea that, three years later I would be elected as the first one year SGA President (this means I was only in SGA for one year before becoming president, previous presidents have had two years of experience). I started off high school lost and afraid of the world in front of me. Like many students, I struggled to keep myself together mentally and physically. I didn’t really know what I liked or what really interested me. It wasn’t until my junior year that I found something that I connected with. I’ve always been in love with my school and its spirit. Every year I would go all out for spirit week, and I was that one kid that stood out from everyone…
