I am glad you pointed out the need for project managers to focus on servant leadership. I took notice in my readings as Horine pointed out the concept of servant leadership. The mindset of ‘service fist’ and NOT ‘me first’ is an excellent approach to anything in life. One simple rule I use that has been helpful in my professional career is to focus on the ‘we’ no ‘I”. I find that it is very helpful and tends to promote others to engage in any effort. I absolutely agree that project managers provide a service for their customers and as such, we need to be sensitive to customer’s needs. The old adage the customer always comes first stays true.
