The reason I mention this is the fact that I have been with my boyfriend for 13 monogamous years. In those 13 years we have never physically abused one another, nor have we ever had the police at our house for any type of violence. If one them was to be admitted into the hospital, and had to make a difficult decision to either pull the plug or remain life support they have that option as a married couple.
