Shay's House-Personal Narrative
Before I entered the housing development that Shay's house was located in, I checked my rearview mirror to see an Audi tailing me. It looked exactly like the one that Trevor used to have, only it was a different color. This one was midnight blue. I was startled and slowed down to see if whoever was driving the car would pass me. After intentionally driving twenty miles under the speed limit, the driver of the vehicle eventually went around me. A young black lady gave me a hard look when she passed by. The look on her face was a mix of disgust and anger. That woman would have looked me right in the eyes if the tent on my window wasn't so dark. Little did she know, I stared right back at her and hoped she knew that she didn't put any fear in my …show more content…

Can you believe that she's stepping out on all that I have to offer? I'm handsome, I've got a good job, and you know how I put it down in the bedroom.”
I thought for a second before I answered him. He was right. God knows he could deliver in the bedroom. The other stuff was true too, but I didn't dare agree with him. I replied by saying, “If you think that you're such a good catch. Why would she be cheating on you?”
“That's what boggles me. I have no clue. Do you think that this guy could have a bigger package than me?”
“Lester, I don't know. Can we not talk about your package right now, please.”
“I'm sorry. I just don't know what to do. That's why I need your help.”
“With Imani?”
“Yes. You know I don't trust her fast ass being at home by herself.”
“I understand that. It's not a problem. I'm just glad that Shay was home when you dropped her off.”
“Great. Now that I have a babysitter, I need your help in another way.”
“My help in another way? What do you want?”
“It's not want. It's need.”
“Well, what the hell do you need?”
“I need you to talk to your mother.”
“About the cheating?”
“Yeah. See if you can get her to confess that she's into someone

While lying on the grass in the front yard, I imagined the exciting night ahead. Before long, Taylor and his girlfriend, Kara, arrived and picked me up. Almost immediately, I stood up and sauntered in my Duke sweatshirt and basketball shorts over to their car. I jumped into the backseat. Immediately, I was assaulted with the strong smell of perfume that had been sprayed inside the car because it belonged to Kara. Tonight instead of driving, she decided to let Taylor drive illegally without a license. As we drove off to Erik’s house, the rendezvous for tonight’s “Goatman” adventure, we saw a police officer had just pulled a car over. As we drove by, we breathe easier and relaxed because we didn’t see any more cops on the way.…

The year was 1953. It was a cool, crisp twenty-ninth of October. Usually, after their chores and homework were done, Kathy, 8, and her brother Jonathan, 15, along with their friend May, 11, and her cousin Adam, 13, all went to Joe’s Arcade, the local hangout of Leaport, North Carolina. Instead, they all decided to meet at the end of their dead end street, Farrow Avenue, and go for a walk through the woods. They were all bored since the arcade was too crowded and supper wasn’t ready yet. Their town was a small town, so there wasn’t any other places to go besides the woods. Plus, the old, burned O’Leary house was out there.…

I was laying in bed just thinking about our conversation today. Do I really want to marry Val? I rolled over and looked at my phone. It was 3am. I slid out of bed and grabbed my phone off the night stand. I was half way out the door when I heard Val say," babe where are you going?" "Restroom. Go back to sleep," I responded. I closed the door behind me and walked across the hall to the bathroom. I closed and locked the door. I called Lindsay, hoping that she would tell me what to do. She's always been the mom of the group. "Hello," she said in a groggy voice. "Hey Linds can we talk?" I asked. "No! What do you have to talk about that couldn't wait until the morning?" She said obviously aggravated. I forgot Lindsay is not a morning person. "But…
