Should Animal Testing Be Outlawed
Animals should be treated just like a human. Humans would not want to be tested on, therefore, humans should not perform these harsh tests on animals. The animals do not deserve to be thrown away, such as one would do with a used tissue. Before one looks at buying makeup, they should think of what brutal tests the animal had to endure for that small tube of lipstick just to be applied to their lips. Animal testing should not even be legal because if we can have them as pets then we should treat them with respect just like they do to us. Animal testing is inhumane, unsanitary, and unsafe, and if it was done to humans then it would be outlawed. Animals have a right to live too.

The intensity of my advertisement emphasizes to the viewer to become aware of what really goes on when animals are tested on. The image is in color, which could be a visual representation to show that all the colors in my

The colors work together to grab the audience's attention and make them think of what really goes on behind the closed doors of the lab. According to Humane Society, “Several cosmetic tests that are performed on skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed on shaved skin or dripped into the eyes without any pain relief” (“Fact Sheet: Cosmetic Testing” 2). The lettering in my advertisement has, “This Won’t Hurt a Bit” in black which could be interpreted as death because of the fact that most of the animals will not make it another day to see the daylight after being tested on (Not Tested on Animals 1). When we go to a funeral, we wear black clothes to mourn the death of a person. Well just like in this advertisement, we mourn the death of an

The advertisement uses many different sizes and colors within the whole image. The top Cover Girl is in the light green color reflecting back to the idea of softness and it is the vantage point for a person’s eyes. It is very bold and automatically draws attention to the top half of the advertisement. Also, the different very black and dark bold text at the bottom of the page seems intriguing for a few reasons. First, the different font types and sizes attempt to make you really see the first three lines very clearly and get an understanding of what the product is. However, the work “new” happens to be in green followed by “natureluxe silk foundation” with “luxe” being bolded, suggesting that this product is truly “luxury touched by nature;” which is in very small print right below that as well. In addition, I find it interesting that the two black bolded lines both have the word “air” in them and also soft, air-like words, such as “fresh” and “breath.” To me this is suggesting that even though the text may be dark and bold, this product is still going to make the user feel fresh and…

The tone used to convey the message is a very serious one, as made evident by the stern expression on the male modeling for the picture, as well as the lack of color. The image does not ask any questions, instead choosing to instill its message with facts and a command, relying on the viewer to both use their logic to think about how their actions could impact others, and to listen to the advice given by the ad which comes from a trusted source. Through this analysis, one can gather that the advertisers are using logos and ethos to appeal to the viewer. When all this is considered, the message given through the straight, black and white font has a deeper impact,…

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

In the middle of the advertisement light is used to make the middle stand out. The dark shadowy background creates a feel of darkness and crime. The colours that are used in the advertisement are black, white and a dark blue. These three colours symbolise death, evil, strength, power, peace, trust, purity and seriousness. A lot of crime series have a lot of murderers that have killed many innocent people. The ‘good guys’ use a lot of power and strength to solve the case. All different colours symbolise different emotions which can have a positive or negative…

Though animal testing should be banned from ever being practiced or used again, people still view it as a necessity despite all of the evidence against it. Animal testing requires inhumane, unsanitary, unsafe, or cruel conditions that if done to humans would be outlawed since they either reduce the quality of life or cause disease or death. Seeing that animals are living, breathing creatures that want to survive just as much as people do, assuming that test conditions are not good for human kind, then they are not good for any living creatures. Furthermore, they are inherently wrong by nature. Tolerating animal cruelty promotes the same insensitivity that allows cruelty to people, such as serial killers and the early incidents of animal torture.…

Animal testing on cosmetics should be banned. People are put in jail all the time for abusing their pets, but people are never put in jail for inhumane testing of cosmetics and other pharmaceuticals on these same animals. I have done a lot of research on animal testing and methods we can use that are more effective and don’t use animals through high school in my free time because of curiosity, so I know a lot of random facts about the harmful nature of this and alternative methods. Animals are being tortured to “help” make better medicine and, the majority of the time does not affect people the same way as animals. Animal testing is inhumane and ineffective the majority of the time, it should be banned.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…
