Should boys and girls be educated in separate classes? This one of the most popular questions parents ask when their kids have to start school, as other questions like are they are going to be good students or which school can they enter, are they to little, and so many...Either they could be boys or girls they always ask this same question, should we put him or she in mix classes or no mix classes. The answer to this question determines a lot to which school they are going to put their kids, because it will vary if they decide separate or together. People have very different opinions on which way is better, separate or together. Most family parents use as an example their education they had from little kids and if it had worked, but also research for opinions on internet or family friends. I will tell you how you can make this big decision base on different opinion people made and also scientific researches that prove it; this will help a lot in decide the way you want the education of your kids.
Boys and girls have different methods for learning; girls learn better or understand better by visualizing or hearing their teacher or watching educational videos, instead boys learn more by doing things, like they will find easy if the teacher brought to class a ball and taught them the laws of gravity with a ball. Girls maybe they will like this activity but, they could get annoy because boys can start making jokes or they can start doing other things with the ball, like playing and not letting the girls work with it; this is because scientist say that boys and girls have different rates or ages of maturity like for example a girl of 10 years has the exact maturity or more, but boys mostly will have a maturity of a kid of 8 or 9 years and this make it a little harder for boys and girls to be taught in the same classroom because girls will take it more seriously, boys maybe kind of but they can start making jokes or doing annoying things. Other teachers say that boys and girls have different abilities in classes, like for example; girls superior verbal abilities in English or Literature Class, so boys are kind of intimidated at the time of reading out loud in class or making expositions, this will be a disadvantage for boys, but I think that we have make it like boys are the ones that are harmed with this system learning. But there is a disadvantage for girls when it comes the time for woodwork or shop or P.E. Obviously boys are more specialized with wood and all that instruments you use to cut and do all things with wood in the class of shop, but I think that in this case girls can catch up, but in other class like P.E. is not that easy like playing football or basket. In almost every sport boys get very violent especially in this two, in football they run faster and have more strength to kick the wall, in basket girls are shorter than boys so it makes it hard for girls to take the ball from boys to dunk. Also one point that parents consider is that when they are bigger like in high school and they get in loved or have a crush for a classmate they don’t concentrate in class because they only pass thinking in he or she, so that can make their academic notes lower. These were some ways in that it will be better or helpful that students get to be educated in separate classes. But this opinion only certain people have it, others like better in classes together. People say that it helps kid’s relationship with the opposite sex, when they are in separate classes they start to have traumas or don’t like to be with people with the other sex. In the real world you don’t always get to have a room only for same gender, I can only think of the bathrooms in public places but you are not always going to be in a public bathroom. After high school your new step is college where you are mix males and females and also then at work, so it is important that they can interact with the opposite sex. Scientist and also college teachers said that students that come from only one gender school have more problems in relate with other people.
As I said people have their opinion and thoughts on how people should be educated separately or together, each side have good points of views and I think the decision that you have to make it on base on your child and which method best works for he or she. I study in a only girl student school and I like it, I have never being in a mix school only in kindergarten and it’s not the same with the age I have, so I don´t have really the experience to tell you. Sometimes I wish we had boys in our school, but sometimes no cause I can´t imagine how some things will be very awkward or annoying with boys around, but I can still also relate with boys in outer school activities. But I think that the best idea that is between the two points is a school where you have boys and girls but at the time of going to class girls go to one and boys to other but they can also have some classes together and they will go at the own rhythm of each gender, and boys and girls will relate together at breaks and lunch, so I think that with this idea you will have each of the two points of views together, but you will need a really big school.

Educators considered boys as combatants, and hard to handle so they gave more appreciation to boys as opposed to girls. By and by, through break time boys played distinctive side and girls at diverse side. The boys got a chance to play running, cricket and girls sat in a corner to talk and carried on as a responsive character at school. Not merely this, boys were not permitted to chat with girls in classroom. It all speaks to the hidden curriculum educational module in my secondary school where…

The child whether a boy or a girl will end up being taught many different sets of behaviors and how they should act. She also states that when children are born, there is no such difference in brain. They do not inherit intellectual differences. Basically, children start from a clean slate. Gender differences are learned from culture and society. This is how they learn what roles are expected of them. For example, boys do not develop special skills because of innate differences, it is because they are expected and encouraged to be strong, artistic and smatter in math. Similarly, girls are treated to be more emotional, empathizers and talkative. Dr. Fine does not disagree completely with opposing article; she does imply that there is no enough evidence to support the gender stereotypes. Psychology today blog also supports Dr. Fine’s idea that human behavior is learned from the society and culture. This blog is stating that men learn that they are not good at communicating their emotions. Women, on the other hand, learn that they are bad in math and can’t take leadership…

Some high schools in the United States are considering creating separate classrooms to educate the boys and the girls. It has been argued that single sex schools can improve learning where behavioral issues promptly subsided, attendance increased and the boys participated more actively (the advertiser, 31.8.2012) and in multi sex schools classes girls are scared of raising their hands to answer the questions because they are afraid of giving the answer wrong and the boys laughing at them (miahuang, 11, 2010).But in multi sex schools learning improved .Where it turns out that there is competition between both sexes in the classroom and this shows increasing the level of memorization of the student. Most importantly, single-sex schooling decreases boys’ and girls’ opportunities to learn from and about each other. Boys and girls must learn to work together, and the classroom is the ideal setting for such practice because it is both purposeful and supervised. (Valerie Strauss, 6, 4, 2012).…

Even when it comes to school males are treated more valued then females. Even the teacher behavior supports that males are treated better than females, where girls are not given equal treatment. The activities of the classroom are typically to appeal to boys rather than females. Females are even less shown in text books. Boys tend to get a positive feedback in the class room since they will be called upon more, praised for their creativity, and included more in class discussion. Take for an example if a question was asked and the a female raised her hand and gave the correct answer and then a male an answer that is “wrong” the male will receive recognition for that answer (Sadker,…

People are not born to know what is proper for each gender to do. We all have had some experiences that taught us how to be a boy or a girl. Family and teachers are the two main socialization agents we faced when we were first gender-socialized. Children were taught to wear different colors and types of clothes for different gender. They were made to take different courses, like cooking class for girls and carpentry class for boys. Also, children were taught to behave differently due to their genders. However, among those examples above, the education of gender we have received is what influenced us most during gender socialization.…
