Death penalty should be banned The issue of death penalty is contentious in society. 70s, only six countries had stopped killing people as a form of punishment; now over 140 countries have abolished the death penalty. (5 reason)The death penalty, by definition, is a life or death issue. With the overwhelming global trend against executions, Its abolition has been a fierce debate worldwide problem. We should do some reflection about the fact how some executions occur for the person who think death penalty is a humane way. Prisoners often don’t know when they are to be killed.one day. They are woken up and taken to a remote place and gunshot in the chest. They will be shot in the head again by a captain if they don't die. Bullets will rip through their flesh will be ripped though bullets, their blood vessels will be slashed. It causes excessive bleeding. They will die quickly if they are lucky because of this process of hemorrhage. But maybe shooting without aiming, the bullets will not hit their vital organs.it will cause they die slowly and painful. The information on executions are kept absolutely secret by governments, so no one exactly knows who in the firing squad fired the death blow. For hangings, people will strap the prisoners on a steel board to stop prisoners moving. They will feel very painful at the end of the rope, strugglingviolently as they asphyxiated. in a word，death penalty is inhuman and disregard the affection of Death's Friends and relatives. （bryan） In conclusion, death penalty should be banned as it results in more negative consequences than positive ones. The unfairness and inhumanity of death penalty are realized step by step. In my opinion, we should consider death penalty is cruel and a violation of human rights.
