a big deal to young athletes and in order to be a athlete you have to have good grades. Which also means they have to complete their homework also. If you barely have time to just do homework, how are you suppose to fit in sports as well. At this stage teenagers start to become mini adults and want to start working as soon as they can.
Virginia has a state law that gives teenagers a curfew at midnight to be home. So if they're attending school later during the day, that gives them less time to work in the afternoons to make money. Secondly, sometimes it has occurred that teenagers have had a problem with their sleeping schedule because they tend to stay up later than what they are suppose to at night. Sometimes this problem is caused by school itself but also teenagers these days have cells phones and social media that can keep them up and entertained throughout the night. Making classes later in the day will only allow them to stay up later through the night because they wouldn't have to worry about waking up early for school. A unhealthy sleep schedule will only hurt teenagers in the end. We don't want them to think that staying up all night and sleeping all day is the new trend because that's not how the real world works. Lastly, in this world education is everything. If you don't have a good education, you won't make it very far in this world. In order to make teenagers realize that, adults have to build structure around them. Waking up early everyday is preparing them on how the real world jobs
are like these days. As much as they might dislike it now, it's only to help them in the long run for their futures. It's apart of being a teenager. Understanding adult life and being able to take responsibilities is the most important step in a teenagers life. In conclusion, we've all had them mornings where we were so tired we just couldn't get motivated, but teenagers we all love having our afternoons too. I believe that school classes should stay the same just for the simple fact that we have many other things in our lives that we would rather do than to attend school all evening. Making classes later in the day will only cause stress within students because of limited time for homework, less time for activities outside of school, and it will not prepare us for the early mornings of the real world.
