Parents, along with the United States are spending less on education making the children not put their best into school because of people putting less focus on education. Students are more worried about paying bills, not going into debt, keeping their job and what they are going to eat that week instead of focusing on school. ‘While students are working 19 hours on average, many work more than 20 hours a week and some even hold a full -time job. while a little bit of work can often build character, and teach students time management skills, too many hours of work can have negative consequences,” (Fang). This can lead to dropping out of school, depression, illness and involvement in illegal
activity. The bad finical positions that people were put in by college expenses affect them after they graduate college. “Research from citizens finical group suggest that 60 percent of student debt borrowers expect to pay off their debt in their 40s,” (Hess).” the standard payment plan is 10 years, however it can take twice as long” (Hess). Some people must pay off debt without having their degree. Many jobs require a college education and not having one could make it hard to have a family, have a house, have enough money for food and water. Having free college in the united states will be expensive but the outcomes will outweigh the negatives. It can help many people who dropped out of school, struggle to pay for the essentials of life, get a better life. It will help the United States economy,
