What is your opinion on the best way to be remembered? I would think the best way to be remembered is by your honor, courage, achievements by a plaque on a wall or a small statue. The people best suited for a memorial would be the people who have done things that benefit everyone and the people who achieved great things through the actions they took for other people. People who did things not for an award but because it needed to be done. Would you agree?
First, my opinion on the best way to be remembered is to show courage throughout their life and an example of that is Helen Keller. She overcame the dual disability of deaf and blindness to champion the deaf and help improve society's treatment of deaf people. This type of courage should be memorialized. That person would be Abraham Lincoln. For instance, he overcame many setbacks to become the most influential American President. In his famous Gettysburg speech, he inspired the nation with his words and helped get rid of slavery. Abraham Lincoln left his mark in many ways but the most important to me was abolishing slavery. How amazing is it that people are free today because of his persistence and belief against slavery and the buying and selling of humans? This was life changing for many generations and gave hope to people who lived under very horrible circumstances. This is proven through biographies of past slaves and current generations of people who have ancestors that lived through slavery. I believe anybody who was a slave should also be remembered as courageous and full of humility. Abraham Lincoln said, “Nearly all men can stand adversity but if you want to test a man’s character, give him
