How many times have students sat in class waiting for a teacher to come? Ten/fifteen times a day? After graduation these high schooler’s will enter a world known as college or the workforce where no one is going to be there to hold our hands, a place where young adults don't ask to use the restroom they just do. As a high schooler I think young adults should be trusted to use the restroom when needed on our own. Although, the building administration has a policy that students cannot go to the bathroom during class, students should be aloud to make their own decisions regarding bathroom breaks because they need to learn time management, and need to be treated like an adult because we are now, and also it is a waste of time. By this age according to the United States government I am now considered an adult. This means I can go into the war and risk my life and carry a gun. I now am even charged to the fullest extent in a court of law. However in the eyes of Chillicothe High School I still cannot use the restroom when I feel I need to. I feel we are considered “children” when it is beneficial to the person in authority. By that I mean, if it makes them right or is easier for them for us to be a “child” that's what students will be considered. Being adults we should be allowed to use the restroom when we find it necessary.
Lastly, for students to ask every time we have to use the restroom is a waste of time. In the end I think it will actually save the teacher's time and allow them to get more accomplished. Think about it after raising our hands, getting the teacher's attention, getting a pass, and going it takes a lot of unnecessary time. This all could be avoided by just allowing students to use the restroom when they feel necessary, to calmly remove themselves from class use the restroom and
