This report is based on the business game we played on footwear industry. Whilst the task set for this group business game is strategic in nature and obviously requires the team, a variety of strategical knowledge. It is my experience that there are several other areas of expertise equally important. A large amount of time and effort throughout this game has been spent on team-working - organising the team, processing and collating the vast amount of information that it created, and editing reports into a coherent style, and the language is suitable for everyone.
This report is described by each years results, how successful we were. Also the ranking and overall score.
GROUP FORMATION AND OPERATION
The group of six first met on Wednesday the 2nd of October. We decided to have a meeting on very next day to discuss some initial ideas for the game and our individual strategy and knowledge. In our initial meeting it was our aim to establish which decision we were going to push forward with, who would be our leader and secretary.
It took quite a while to understand the way of playing business game including me. It took almost two weeks. It did however become clear very quickly that we were three of us who have to make the decisions. The first decision we made wasn't very successful and very next one led us almost one of the non-successful business. From third year we three of us started to make decisions and we gradually were successful. Our group leader Naomi Lekota made the third year decisions and we supported it. Those astute decisions helped us to start rising.
