Single Girl Monologue
Jane couldn’t believe that she had ended up in a situation like this. Only yesterday, she had embarked on a cruise that was supposed to be “the single girl’s dream,” and now she was desperately clutching the life ring as the boat sank. Jane tried to push aside thoughts of the sharks that were known to inhabit these waters. Her thoughts speed angrily to the dark and scary places . Suddenly, as the rain pelted down around her, she felt something scrape against her leg.

She knew what it was so she pulled herself up and saw a little dingy with supplies on it. She got in and bent down and started to untie the brown and ripped up rope. She saw some people on the guard rail she drove over and saw her family she yelled get in and her baby brother and her mother got in her dad almost did not make it on because he had slipped.She started the engine and took off in the miniature dingy.

They had been on that boat for 2 days now and are running low on food. It was a hot and humid morning they all covered up so they would not get sunburned.
