Hopefully by the end of this year. Once that is done I have a lot of things that I still would like to do and would like to see done. Most closely in the future I would like to hear that all who enter the Sistine Chapel immediately gaze up at the luminous frescoes on the ceiling and appreciate my work. After all, the ceiling was originally just decorated with a simple field of stars (The Vatican). I hope that when people look back on my painting in the Sistine Chapel that they realize how truly difficult it was. For me, the most difficult part was trying to understand how my frescoes would look from the ground while I am standing on a scaffolding nearly twenty meters off the floor (Perspective). I also want people to realize, someday, that even out of frustration and reluctance, I crafted something brilliant and something that could possibly even be considered the greatest work of art of the Renaissance (The Medici). Likewise, I hope that the ceiling will be a place where people go to simply enjoy the frescoes. I hope people find themselves going there for no reason except to admire my work. I hope that people stand there for a moment and realize that they are in a place that combines the power of God and the genius of man
