Social Construction of Freaks by Robert Bogdan
Coming from a country where poverty and less opportunity are the present every day I saw in a lot of kids and youths with talents and aspirations for their lives and their future, and these aspirations could disappear when time goes by and they can’t be reached. We in our country don’t have the support to develop our talents and came true our dreams or goals for our future. Most of the time we are like stars in the sky that can bright, because there is no a chance to show that we can.
On my trip to come here and passing across some countries , I have the experience to see, it again in Guatemala, Mexico, and The United States, but the interesting thing about it was that in each place, it happened differently, regardless the resources, economy situation, and education level. It also continues happening in the life of youths in different scale, problems and obstacles.
My purpose to write this paper is to show you what a talent show is , my reason to organize it, when and where it will happen, who will participate in it, and what I will learn by organizing it. This talent show will be free for all youthcare’s staff, clients and volunteers that donate their time as their money, and the most important thing is to share their love and contributions to change a lot of lives. Anyway, in this talent show 10 youths will be performing by showing different talents, and each one of them will get a prize for being brave to be on the stage in front of a lot of people. In addition, there will be a talent winner that will be chosen by the audience in the event. The event’s theme will be hope and the scenery will be decorated with different hope’s quotes and people of hope.

What does talent show mean?
Well, I was looking up in the internet for the meaning of a talent show. I found the best and simple description on Wikipedia; it describe a talent show as an event where participants perform their talents of acting, singing, dancing, acrobatics, drumming, martial, arts,

Only a scare amount of people are destined to be the President of the United States, to be astronauts, to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, or to find a cure for a terminal disease. All of us are capable of significant accomplishments and achievements throughout each of our lives. As Mother Teresa or St. Teresa of Calcutta states this quote, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love,” it signifies extreme importance through society in which people accomplish things rather large or small; love is always present during the accomplishments not matter the size of the achievement. Not everyone is exposed, or afforded, the opportunity to do great things; whether fame, money, or motivation tend to get in the…

As Marva Collins once said, “Success doesn’t come to you, you got to go get it.” This is completely true. However, how can this be true if the American Youth nowadays expect everything without looking for it? I believe that for someone to become successful, it starts within himself or herself. If the America’s youth do not believe in themselves, they are going to have the wrong mentality for their future. Even more, if their family is unsupportive, how can they learn any responsibility? America’s youth rely on drugs and gangs to find a “way out” of all their problems. They are misguided so they do not realize that they got themselves into a more serious situation.…

Over the thirteen years I’ve been alive, I have learned that nothing you want comes easily. As Milton Berle once said, “If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.” Milton’s quote has made such a huge impact on my life because it inspires me to make my own opportunities and reach for my most massive goals. For example, to become a physical therapist or a marine biologist you need a very superb education which includes, background knowledge of many different forms of math and science. When you want a good education in your future you have to work at it way before you get to college. As a middle school student involved in many athletics, I have to continue to do my best and strive for greatness. When it comes to…

Performance, according to Oxford Dictionary, is defined as “an act of presenting a play, concert, or other form of entertainment” (Oxford Dictionary, 2018). Performance, however, has many elements to it. Its dictionary definition is merely a summary. Performance contains four key elements: the actor/character, the audience, the space in which the performance occurs and the narrative. A performance can be considered to be occurring when all four of these elements are present. A character…

At first blush, the statement seems compelling. One great purpose of education is instilling in students with experiences of elder generations after all. Young people, passionate, brave and innovative as they are, their naivety and lack of experience often make them mistakenly put too much energy on areas they’re unlikely to achieve success in the first place, waste the golden years and end up all the great talents and efforts in vain. Usually, it is hard for people to estimate their talents and abilities objectively at their juvenile ages when their minds are full of confidence and hearts desperate for success. Every year, thousands of hundreds of young people flock to Hollywood hoping to get auditions to show their talent and dream about overnight fame; likewise, the number of students joining the fierce competition of entering acting school continues to rise in recent years. However, most commonly, these passionate young people who are eager to pursuit a career of acting end up doing odd jobs in…

A president of the United state once said in the Clinton foundation fundraiser for African children that” because he has refused to look away when someone was in need and refuse to assume someone else will solve the problem, he believes he would be able to help thousands of children in Africa get a future for themselves and their family.” As a future engineer who is devoted in using the little period of lifespan he has in the most profitable way for himself ,his environment and the world as a whole. I believe that by not looking away from the problems facing the society and not assuming someone else would solve it, thereby viewing the problems as if they are my own, I would be able to better the life of millions of people worldwide. I have thereby dreamt of a future for myself. Have dream of my kids and their friends tuning to a TV channel, just to find their father being introduced as the man who changed the face of structural engineering in the world.
