Social Media In Law Enforcement Essay

Law enforcement is now using social media and that is not a good thing. Do to the face that tales away any type of free speech in a way. People are going to way paranoid about posting anything even if has nothing to do with braking the law or even coming close to it. They could post something like hold a red cup and them being like fourteen they could think that it is underage drinking.
Law enforcement using social media is a bad thing. If you post a picture of you holding a red solo cup and you are not yet twenty-one or older if a cop see that you have now given them reason to become suspicious of you. Or you were at a party and you take a picture with someone in the background was drinking beer or some other alcoholic beverage the cops now have evidence that you were at a party with alcohol and even if you were not
The threat is very real that they become big brother like. Where they start to check everyone’s post and pictures. Or that they will make it so that all things put on social media is put throw them like for example if you were to post something on face book saying how you hat something or someone and you post it before it goes online law informant see it and they could take it down. People could also become afraid to post anything one the internet. For example is someone posts something again to face book they will because so paranoid to post anything. Or if they do they will either edit it so much and clean it up so much that it will no longer get is original point across. Or if it is a photo it either will never get posted or it will be edited so much that you will not be able to tell what the pic was to begin with. They could also not post at all and a lot of people use social Media as an out let for their anger and
