The topic of this “Social Science Research Paper” is generally about snacking. This topic came from an article called “BITE ME!”, but the phrase that got this whole research paper started was “WHAT DO CANUCKS LOVE TO SNACK ON?”(DeMontis, 2009). The purpose of this research paper is to determine or to find out what peoples’ favourite snacks are. In order to do that, a survey was made for the students of Blessed Cardinal Newman Catholic High School. The student would fill out the survey to determine what their favourite snack is. 131 students (66 males; 65 females; Graph #1) filled out this questionnaire. A “Questionnaire” is a type of survey. Only 4 questionnaires could not be counted because the student either checked more than 1 option or the student checked “NO” that they do not eat snacks but then checked a snack (may find more information in Graph #2). The snack that was eaten most often by males was “Chocolate”; there were 11 males that eat chocolate as a snack. Chocolate was also the most eaten snack by females with 11 females eating it for a snack. “Candy” was the second highest in the male category with 11 males eating it. “Cookies” were the second highest in the female category with 9 females eating it. The least favoured snacks that males did not check off were: muffins, Pop Tarts, Rice Krispies squares, and yoghourt. For the females, the least favoured snack was Pop Tarts. To recap about this research paper, it is basically determining peoples’ favourite or most eaten snack. Unfortunately the research did not achieve its goal of finding out the favourite snack. The reason is that when the questionnaires were collated, the first and second highest results were too close. For males it was 11 and 10, and for the females 11 and 9. Therefore there was no favourite snack for females or males. Although, there were other recommendations for the
