Sports Injury’s By: Debbie Bryan {draw:frame} In this paper you will understand how in the different sport you can have different injury’s relating to the different sports. Like in basketball you will see more knee and ankle injuries. I will show how doing different things wrong will cause you to get hurt. You have different types of injuries for the different sports.

I feel you can take the right measures to make sure you have a safe sport career by taking the right steps to keeping yourself safe. This is some of the things you could do to help. Make sure you stretch out before sorts so you are not so tight going into the different sports you play. More than half of all Americans use dietary supplements, such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs, enzymes. Many hope to improve their health or prevent disease. Athletes who take supplements often seek a performance edge, such as increased strength or speed. With the vast array of supplements available today, knowing which are safe and effective is a challenge. Below are answers to common questions about dietary supplements.

Most sports injuries are due to either trauma or overuse of muscles or joints. The majority are caused by minor trauma involving muscles, ligaments, or tendons including: contusions (bruises) sprains strains The most commonly sprained or strained joint is the ankle.

A contusion is an injury to the soft tissue often produced by a blunt force such as a kick, fall, or blow. The immediate result will be pain, swelling, and discoloration.

A sprain is a wrenching or twisting injury to a ligament. Sprains often affect the ankles, knees, or wrists.

A Strain is an injury to a muscle or tendon, and is often caused by overuse, force, or stretching. As we grow older, our connective tissues tend to dry out and lose their flexibility. This is due in part to decreased stability of the cell membranes and collagen fibres. This loss of flexibility contributes
