The worst is the end of the season because the sports players grades drop and they seem to careless and that makes a struggle when the season is back. The chances of getting a free ride are below 12 percent and when they get chosen to play for a good team they have a struggle with the new team. The team is going to play better when they have a connection to each other and similar thinking.
These are many ways why we should have more sports here at Monticello Trails. It would be a great way to get more kids active, healthy, and do better in school. Adding in new sports will get more kids involved and play a sport that they will enjoy playing. Most schools only have football and basketball, so adding sports like soccer will allow kids who like that sport to play. Sports can be very good for students physically, and academically which would be good

The article written by the author states that “It’s not just about grades. Time spent on the field or on the court also benefits your health” Which means that physical activity is good for kids and is needed in order to maintain a healthy and worthwhile life. (O’Shei, 12) The Author includes more information when he states “If we cut back school sports some kids will be shut out of sports completely” his next statement is, “Yes, club sports that is, private leagues outside of school would be an option for some, but fees, equipment, and travel expenses can add up to thousands of dollars per season” Which means that children would be shut out of opportunities to participate because of the high amounts of money needing to be payed for private sport lessons or leagues.(O’Shei,12) While public schools say they're all about equal opportunities, if they shut down the programs that they have kids will not equal connections as the students did before them, which is very unfair, going back on how open schools say their “Job is to create and deliver new opportunities.” Juniors need this more than ever, and if we were to shut it all down they could not begin to know what it is like to have this sort of feeling clinging onto them, having a constant positive vibe around…

Sports increase the self- confidence and leadership skills. Also hiring managers look for leadership skills in people, which is why people that played in sports get further, faster, than the people that didn’t play sports, in the “long run”. Scientists also found that people that played sports donate more than those who didn’t. Don’t forget about the families that wouldn’t be able to pay for the sports outside of school. If schools ban sports, then some kids would not be able to experience the fun of playing sports. Sports are also good for exercise and good for staying…

Sports is a very important part of students lives. If the purpose of public education is to prepare the students for life and college, then it must be more than math, reading, and writing. Obesity has become a factor in life for some students and it needs to stop. Public schools offer more sports than private schools. Public school states, “Athletics have been a mainstay of the high school scene for decades.” But, today the sports has expanded for both females and males. Grace Chen claims that students that are involved with sports tend to have better attendance than those who do not, which makes sense. Sports motivate the students to go to school, it makes it seem like lessons aren’t as bad. If they’re getting something worthwhile out of it, then going to class at ungodly times only to be forced to obey every single order and being told that if they don’t, they will not be successful adults, seem worth it. "We know sports helps mold character and sharpens focus, as was proved in the Los Angeles study and shown in the Olympic results " says Marc Joseph. Sports help students mentally, too. It helps them gain important life skills that help them later in life. With those arguments, it only seems logical to many people to keep sports in schools. They have good reason, but they are overlooking one major detail. Other countries, such as South Korea and Japan, don’t have sports directly involved with their schools (NPR). This doesn’t stop students from playing, though. Many join organizations outside of schools. These countries that have these regulations are not lacking in their academic fields. In fact, many of the countries that do this are known to have the best education systems in the world (Amanda Ripley). If taking sports out of the education system caused significant issues, this would not be the case at…

However, when and where do the students not want to play? That is the whole reason why parents argue with the coaches on why doesn't their kid play in the game. And since we are adding gasoline to the fire, not all parents can afford elite programs. Maybe, they could afford it but the athlete doesn’t have a ride to all of the practices. These comebacks are just the beginning of why high school sports should live.…
