Introduction
Religion is one of the common culture situations in the human society which affects the society in each field, including ideology, aesthetic ideas and habits. The religion has developed for hundreds of years; with the active communication between Eastern and Western cultures, the tourism are triggered with the religion activities like Buddha or Hajj (Amanda 2001). The architecture and sculpture of religion also attract the common tourists strongly. The religion could be exchanged to cultural tourism resources and the tourism could also promote developing and expanding religion culture.
China is a historic country with a long feudal period, which provides a suitable political environment for religion development. The Chinese religion culture consists of Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christian and other original religious culture. But because of the limited tourism development time, the rich religious culture resources are not exploited perfectly (Xiaofei 2009). Therefore, in this essay, the Chinese religious culture will be expressed as an example to analyze the relationships between religion and culture tourism, the current religion culture tourism situation and the methods to improve the religion culture tourism in China.
Research questions: 1. What are the relationships between religious culture and tourism? 2. Why is the important to promote the religion culture tourism? 3. What is the current religion culture tourism situation in China? 4. Any suggestions to promote the Chinese religion culture tourism?
