In addition to time management skills, working in a pharmacy has taught me patience and understanding under stressful circumstances. The pharmacy I work at is considerably busy; I am constantly working on several tasks at once. I frequently run into unexpected problems regarding a patient’s medication and have to put this above all of the tasks that I need to accomplish that day. Motive is even more important. Personally, the biggest factor motivating me to become a Physician Assistant is that I know I will have the power to make a difference in other’s lives in a way that not many people can. Throughout my experience, this simple yet important factor, is much too often over looked in the medical field.
