School uniforms are just another way students will rebel in school. Students should have the right to wear what they want without being judged on being a “distraction”. The no showing shoulder policy was enforced because it was a distraction to boys. Which is targeted to girls becoming sexist. A girl must always covered her shoulders or she'll be dresscoded. Hailey Everhart a sophomore who started a protest told NBC Chicago “If you wear a sundress, the administration will come up to you and ask you to put on your jacket or leave class”. Transgender students at schools with uniforms are strictly informed on wearing khakis and dress shirt if you're a boy and a dress shirt and a skirt if you're a girl “Strictly enforced gender requirements for school uniforms are having a negative impact on the health and wellbeing of trans and the gender diverse students, according to leading advocacy organizations” (Benjamin Riley). Students should be able to express themselves through clothing if wanting to. They shouldn't have to be having dress to dress and act as something they're not
