Strange Fruit John Dubois Analysis

I think DuBois meant when he refers to the “strange meaning of being Black” is all the things that Black people had to go through beginning with slavery. He means that being Black is looked at as being bad or strange by Whites. He talks about how slavery had made Blacks inferior to Whites, which made them treat us like we are not human beings. Blacks help build America, but Whites feel like that we did not do anything. Whites has many definitions to describe Blacks and their behaviors which they feel it is not normal. Since, Blacks do not fit the White views or standards then we are strange and not accepted in America. This mean we are still not seen as human beings that are supposed to have equality and freedom. Blacks are not getting proper justice when it comes to dealing the law enforcements. They are being seen as criminals and this has cause many of innocent Black lives to be killed. Blacks have to be cautious because they do not know if they will get killed. Just because they are Black they are being subjective as a problem in society, instead of just regular people like everyone else. In history, Blacks have been killed just for walking down the wrong street or look at a person. This is happening now and the law is not doing anything to stop the innocent bloodshed of Blacks. The South was lynching innocent Blacks just because and the law did not do anything to stop it. Black Lives Matter is taking that stand to help stop the killing of Blacks by police officers. Black Lives Matter is showing that Blacks do matter and the injustice that were are going through because people of the law are not doing their jobs like they supposed too.
