The Husqvarna 128LD is not CARB-compliant. CARB stands for California Air Resources Board. It limits the emissions of volatile organics compounds. It regulates industrial and commercial products.
The new Tier III emissions regulations of CARB controls engine emissions and reduces fume leakage of lawn mowers, trimmers, and the likes. CARB insists on the use of better materials. Gas powered machines are not able to reduce carbon footprint because they emit pollutants.
