A jubilant hello from Alabama! I am Valerie and my most rewarding accomplishment stands about 5 foot in height, and she is 10-years of age. My greatest blessing, joyfully filled my heart at the age of nine when Jesus Christ became my Savior. When my daughter was of the age of two, I received a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. Because God’s hand has directed me to travel a new path, I am pursuing an M.B.A. in Leadership. Frankly, I lack experience in international business, with this marking my second semester in the business program. With careful consideration, I chose Liberty University based on the university commitment to educating accompanied with a biblical perspective. Ultimately, I want a business that honors God by spreading…

If I was given the opportunity to speak in front of a crowd I would talk about the importance of setting goals in your life. I believe success comes from meeting the goals you have strived to obtain. When I was younger and just starting to grasp the concept of doing things on my own, the word success was very forbidding to me. I wanted to be successful and to make people around me proud, but I wasn’t sure how to go about achieving such things. I never just sat down and thought about what exactly I needed to do to make me successful, I just knew I wanted success out of life. If I had the chance to talk to a younger generation, or maybe even older people who are still struggling, I would tell them to take some time, sit down, and seriously think about what specific things they needed to do that would make them successful in life. The things they would write would ultimately become the small goals that would help them achieve their \\\\\\\larger goal. When you have goals set in your life, the only thing left to do is go get them done! Yes, I know this is the hard part, but when you actually have goals defined in your life, you wake up every morning knowing exactly what you’re working towards. You strive for specific opportunities or instances that someday make you successful. You go after your…

Levinson named five developmental tasks for young adults. These are pursuing a dream, creating relationships, developing an occupational career, forming a marriage and family and building responsibility in the larger community (Burns, 2005). These developmental tasks are interdependent on each other and achieving one affects the possibilities of accomplishing the other four. The development of a career will help in achieving other tasks as the young adult attains a means with which she/he can support the family. The career may help in achieving the dream which may be based on the career or family. It is within the workplace that the young adult can easily establish mentor relationships with those she/he works with. Achieving these dreams challenges the young adult to take responsibilities within the community. On the other hand, the mentor relationships may inspire the young adult in developing the career and in the pursuance of a career growth and responsibilities in the community, urging him/her to form a marriage and then family.…

In Life there are roads and there are choices. The right or left turn you make along the winding path throughout your life is and should be the one that makes you happy. Furthering your education may be your best and only way to make that right decision. At the present moment I am now currently attending Valencia Community College working towards my Associate Degree in Computer Science. My current major is Computer Science, although Computer Engineering with a focus in Software is what I will most likely pursue as my Bachelor of Arts (BA). Computer Science/Engineering is one of the most popular and fastest growing careers today. Today, computers are used in almost every aspect of our lives: in car engines, microwave ovens, video games, watches, telephones, desktops at home and work, mainframe computers in government and industry, and supercomputers expanding the frontiers of science and technology. Furthering your college education in an institute of higher learning may set you aside from your colleagues at Valencia. The college that I plan to attend after I obtain my AA degree at Valencia is the University Of Central Florida (UCF). Furthering my education is important and essential to my personal as well as life-long career goals. If you think the price of education is expensive, try the price of ignorance. You pay for ignorance everyday for the rest of your life.…

What does success mean to you? Success is the ability to overcome challenges and to get to your desired outcome. Success depends on you, it is dependent only on what your desired outcome is. According to Abraham Lincoln success is expressed as “always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” Abraham is expressing the importance of the resolution of success. I agree with Abraham there is nothing better than the resolution to succeed. To be more successful you have to make changes in your life, some of these changes are not so easy and conflict with yourself but in order to succeed there must be a change. This year I have to make some changes to myself in order to succeed.…
