Because at colleges, especially dormitories, students are cramped together and things like meningitis are easily spread. The students share common areas like bathrooms, drinking fountains, and guard rails of stairs.…
Dining halls are a convenient place for students to meet and socialize with each other. Building community is a very important part of LUC’s mission and by improving the dining experience for the students; it builds community and works toward the “student promise” that is so stressed by the University. Megan Beaupre, a junior at LUC, says, “I met my three best friends, who are now my roommates, in the dining hall freshman year. The main thing we bonded over was the gross food and dirty dining halls though.” This is not the reputation that LUC is striving for; increasing good hygiene in the halls will only in turn improve the quality of the food and the atmosphere.…
Most students fail to clean properly their dorm rooms and the same goes to their prior dorm users. This results an outbreak of bacteria, viruses, parasites, etc. to spread throughout the campus…

At first glance, many students are immediately drawn to the social environment of a university. Various universities including NCCU, UNCG, NC A&T and WSSU all provide socially adequate environents where students are given access to differentiating programs, parties, clubs, dances and events. Another common connotation referenced when accessing a university is the utilization of dorm rooms. This can serve as either a pro or a con, depending on a student's personal preference. There are students who may not mind sharing their space with another student, but there are also students who prefer a bit more privacy and seclusion. Having a…
The worst experience in my collage life was living with a roommate that had bad habits such as being noisy, stingy and messy. College students should know the person that they will stay with and see if they have similarities with him or not before they decide to live together in the same…
Who throws away the best stuff? Is dumpster diving really necessary to people living on the streets? In the text book, Lars Eighner, “On Dumpster Diving”, tells about when he was homeless out on the streets. He told that students usually had the best things because they threw out whatever they did not want because they have their parents to buy everything for them. He had two rules while living out on the street. Rule number one was, take only what is of use. The second rule was, material things that are not required are not necessary.…

When you first open the door, the lingering scent of soiled socks strikes you in the face. The carpet is crusted with lumpy tomato soup from last week, and you can’t identify exactly where the top of your desk ends and your roommate’s begins. Does this sound familiar to the dorm room you claim as home? Do you feel stressed at the sight of this mess; if so I can help you discover the super-power-cleaning-skills within you. Your room can be fabulously fresh in a Prep and Two Part Clean process. To begin this cleaning method, you’ll start with the prep portion. Each room is different, when it comes to what needs to be cleaned, so your room may not follow this plan to a tee, but we will stick to the most basic needs.…
This is probably the reason why the earth is being polluted with trash. Studies show that people litter because they do not feel responsible for public areas and that people usually litter outside of their neighborhoods where the trash becomes someone else’s problem. One example on how litter can affect the environment is that organic litter can cause water pollution and lead to algal blooms, and cigarettes could also start fires if they are not put out and then discarded in the environment. In Al Gore's speech he talks about how in 7 years the North Polar ice cap might “fall off a cliff.” This might happen in 7 years because of the Northern Hemisphere tilting away from the sun. This happened because of all the pollution and global warming we caused and because of our trash. So, people may argue and say one piece of trash on the ground doesn't really matter and that it’s okay to throw little pieces of trash on the floor but it’s not. Every little piece adds up and still causes damage on the environment. So think next time you're about to throw your candy wrapper in a nearby bush. Think about the consequences of that action and how it will affect the…
According to www.sciencedaily.com, in 2008 there was so much garbage they had 378,000 volunteers help cleanup garbage. Also garbage causes pollution and climate change and habitat destruction. Each year garbage kills over a million animals. From some garbage wrapping around animals flippers and amputating them. Additionally garbage can cut marine life and create infections. Also ocean currents have been carrying debris into all major oceanic gyres (spiral or vortex) for decades. They recorded a tin entered in the ocean In 1986 and will decompose until 2036. That is why everyone should recycle.…
When I sent out a survey, I asked, “What do you notice about the trash on our campus?”, I got some answers that said, “It makes room 21 look bad, I rarely see people pick up trash” and “I see trash over the railing from old school projects and papers blowing around.” I see and agree with these responses.I think that when people see trash they should pick it up. Even one piece of trash can lead to a disaster. Something should be done about the trash around campus because the trash can hurt animals, can cause fires, and can cause unhealthy environment. I think something should be done about the trash on campus.…
In the beginning of the play Macbeth and macduff are both compassionate and loving husbands but later Macbeth becomes careless and insensitive towards his wife. Malcolm and Macbeths men are preparing for the war while Lady Macbeth is losing her sanity. Lady Macbeth commits suicide and as Macbeth finds out he says emotionless, ‘’ she should have died hereafter, / There would have been time for such a word.” This shows that Macbeth is a bad husband because he does not care what happens to his wife. In the quote He is saying that Lady Macbeth’s death is actually a nuisance that a problem and he is also saying that if she died in another time he would have cared more and that he could actually morn her death, on the other hand when ross and macduff were talking about how much they hate Macbeth and what they will do to get him off the throne ross tells macduff about the death and macduff takes it very hard and says in anger and regret, “My children too?/ He has no children. All my pretty ones? / Did you say all? O hell-kite! All?” This shows that macduff cares about his family and which shows he is a good and caring husband who just made bad decision, macduff takes it very hard at first he doesn’t believe that, that’s true and he just keeps believing that ross was lying and that that’s not true, also he feels that he is responsible for their deaths because he left them without any protection, but most of all he is angry and he is just thinking what he is going to do to Macbeth when he sees him he is going to get revenge for his loss by killing Macbeth. He feels that if he is not the one who kills Macbeth his wife and child’s soul will haunt him for the rest of his life. Macbeth end up falling apart and not caring for his wife and macduff grieves for his wife’s death.…
