From the assigned reading it becomes clear that there are a number of symptoms which suggest that beverage manufacturer and distributer Cerjugo SA is a company in crisis. The main signal that Cerjugo is not living up to its expectations is that its forecasted sales and profit targets, for its juice division, have not been met for two consecutive years this is especially troubling for a company which in the past boasted a 98% share of the beer market in Latin America. Beyond the lack luster sales numbers there are many other symptoms that Cerjugo’s juice division is ailing, such as reports that potential customers are not aware of the “freshness” and high quality of the product and the brand reputation is suffering accordingly, this is particularly problematic because the “freshness” of Cerjugo’s juice is their main value proposition. Fault lines are also starting to show on the personnel front, with increased turnover rates in their sales force as well as stresses between top executives at the company, which often has them battling one another. Recently, Cerjugo President Manuel Perreria heard that his Manager of Juice Manufacturing, George Novedads will be resigning to take a position with a rival company, a clear sign that things have gone amiss.…

Marketing Analysis: More Vino Ltd. is a wine retailer located in Trinidad and Tobago and is the newest local hot spot for food, drink, and entertainment. The Stone brothers, Christian and David, started More Vino Ltd. with the help of an investor and his partner, Arthur Greenway. Trinidad and Tobago is a hub for tourists to vacation all year round. The driving growth is mainly dependent on the tourism. With traditions that have lasted over 150 years, the island is a popular vacation spot for both tourists and natives alike. There is a cyclical demand for this product due to the face that it follows the market trend. The islands have seen heightened growth in tourism over the past decade and are known especially for their homemade rums and beers. Over the years, the wine market has grown to a worth of TT$48 million with growth anticipated for five years. This is where the Stone brothers saw an opportunity for business. More Vino Ltd. has been thriving due to their in house consumption as its main driving force for sales, but they also have a wholesale division that has been bringing in good business as well. Because of the demographics in the area, the brothers believe their growth in sales will increase even more with excellent service and unique entertainment that will drive out their competitors. With this expansion, More Vino Ltd. will see an increase in sales due to the fact that they offer a different atmosphere, one that is more focused on their target sales group, than their competition. Because majority of their sales is being driven by in house sales, focusing on championing that division will result in favorable outcomes. But with this expansion, the brothers foresee a 10 per cent to 15 percent increase in cost. They also plan on increasing their prices to match their competitors. Christian has…

It is probably the largest chain of smoothie bars in UK and they also provide snacks along with the fruit juices and smoothies (Mercer, 2007). The major strength of this chain of Smoothie bars is that it is an established brand in UK and provides a comprehensive range of snacks and smoothies. But owing to the rising prices of smoothies, they have not managed to achieve the same growth in revenues and have been expensive to the liking of many. What they have been doing is to expand their product line rather than cutting down costs to capture a larger customer segment (yelp.co.uk, 2014). This is where we can excel as we are focusing on providing quality smoothies and fruit juices at affordable prices by keeping moderate profit margins to cater larger customer segments. Our strategy is to increase profit through more and more customers rather than through high prices or profit margins. We will also be catering home delivery for gaining competitive advantage in the local Fulham…
