Sales does not think all social media is bad, but when it gets taken out of hand such as her book's story, then it seems bad. Anybody can put whatever they want on social media, they can comment whatever they, there is no control unless parents decide to monitor their children. What parent wants to be in there kids relationships, each kid deserves privacy but at the same time a parent should have some concern what her son/daughter is posting, commenting on, messaging, calling, and who is doing all those things to their child.
Anybody can make an account and can make fake stuff up about them and drag people in and then hurt them. Sexual predators is one that can really mess with social media, and posting profanity pictures, with sexual intentions can draw in the wrong person, and that is something people don’t understand. Their is age restrictions and privacy policies on social media and social sites for a reason.
The gist of the story is social media is not bad unless it gets to profanity level, bullying levels, and sexual intention levels. Social media is to be kept at peace, keep in touch with family and friends. Post/comment on things that are appropriate. Put privacy stuff on so people can’t do anything without your permission. Block people when things go downhill such as bullies, harassment, and sexual preditors.
