This book is about a boy named Matt Cruse. While on the Airship Academy the cadets that are on duty spot a stranded airship named “The Hyperion”. The Hyperion is a long lost ship created by a famous and wealthy inventor, and the ship rumoured to have most of his treasures onboard. The ship was found at the Antartartic. The info quickly spreads to people. Someone who claimed to be a descendant of the Grunel wants to have a discussion, so they meet up. For example, the two people repaired The Sagarmatha after it being shot by John’s crew. I did not find that realistic at all, unless the weapons were extremely weak, or the 2 people are extremely gifted at repairing ships.The ship is literally an entire blimp, and the two manage to fix it very quickly. Sure, the technology is way more advanced, but still. I wished they would have found another approach to this, like maybe stealing John’s ship or something. Another example was there was extinct animals found on the ship. When they got on they found many extinct animals or “rare” as they call it in the story. One of the animals that stood up to me was the dodo. I watched an entire documentary on the dodo and it is an extinct animal. Kate said that they were going through “anhydrobiosis”. I doubt that they could go through that for nearly 50 years! It’s a bit ridiculous, as dodos don’t even go through anhydrobiosis. Also if they did go through anhydrobiosis, that only means water, and not food, so they should’ve starved and decomposed in their cages. Though I didn’t expect this story to be hyper realistic, I still expected it to be somewhat
