In the weekly magazine article “What Immigration Won,” Deepak Bhargava writes about the potential benefits, which immigrants could be benefited from Obama immigration reform. First the author talks about the President Obama’s announcement regarding immigration reform. Then, he relates the immigration reform to the protest organized by immigration movement activists. He called the reform as a victory to the immigrant-rights movement, and especially to those undocumented immigrants and their family members, who took huge risks to step forward. He continues his clarification regarding the immigration reform by discussing about the challenges faced by the immigration movement. He ends his article saying, “the immigrant-rights movement won America’s hearts when it started having the courage to say that immigration reform isn’t mostly about borders, economies and rules—it is about human beings” (Bhargava).
